Update 1:04 PM EST / 5:04 PM GMT: Ywain is back online and available to all players. Thank you for your patience!
The Ywain server will be coming down today (11:00 AM EST / 4:00 PM GMT) to perform maintenance intended to address some in-game delays with gameplay and chat.
Servers are expected back up within 4 hours.
We've noticed some poorer performance than normal in New Frontiers and want to make a configuration change to our server hosting to try and address it prior to the weekend.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we perform this downtime.

All servers are online and open to players!
Update: Ywain, Gaheris, and Pendragon are now online and open to players! Archived servers are still undergoing maintenance and will be up within the next couple of hours.
The Ywain, Gaheris, Pendragon and all archived servers will be coming down tomorrow, January 3rd (5:45 AM EST / 10:45 AM GMT) to perform an Amazon server hosting security update.
Due to the amount of servers and background-processes under maintenance, servers are expected back up within 10 hours. Intermittent downtime may be noticed with the Account Center and the Herald websites but any issues reaching those sites should clear up within a few minutes.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we perform this extended downtime.

Welcome to the last Grab Bag of 2017! We've had a lot of interesting, fun and, I hope, helpful Grab Bags. Looking forward to more in 2018 :) We're going to take a litle bag break here for the holidays, and will return with more Grab Bags after the New Year!

Two quick, but exciting notes for you today!

[Daily Quest] The Solo Road
-
Quest objectives changed as follows:
-
Earn 1 solo kills in the Ruined or Maze areas
-
Earn 5 solo kills anywhere in the Frontiers
-
This change will allow solo kills in the Ruined or Maze areas to count for both steps of the quest, so if fighting there, it will be possible to get just 5 total solo kills and complete the quest. This change should address some of the issues players were seeing with getting credit when on the 2nd step of the quest.
-
Players that already have the quest should be able to relog and the objectives will update in their journal to the new values and restrictions.
-
Crafted armors and weapons now have a recharge cost of 10g per charge.
-
This change will allow players to recharge crafted gear at Recharger NPCs.
-
Characters currently in-game may need to zone or relog to have their already-crafted gear update properly.
-
Crafted gear can still be recharged at no-cost by Alchemists.

TGIF! A went and windy Friday, but brightened up by another Grab Bag!

Welcome to another edition of the Grab Bag!
Just a quick update on our upcoming 1v1 Tournament, based on feedback and requests we've pushed the date for Archers to the end of the tournament archetype rounds, now scheduled for December 3rd (3PM EST/9PM CET). Every other date is as is. The date for the overall final has also been set for December 10th, 3PM EST/9PM CET. Our tournament page has been updated with all the details, and there's still plenty of time to register for all archetypes :) Sign up here!
