TGIF! A went and windy Friday, but brightened up by another Grab Bag!
Congrats to Fantam (1st place) and Snowdog (2nd place) on giving it all in a round of great fights during our Assassin archetype 1v1 last weekend! All fights can be watched back on our YouTube channel here. Casters feature in our next 1v1 archetpye this coming Sunday (Oct 22nd, 3PM EST/9PM CET) and there is still time to signup, for Casters and all remaining Archetypes. Welcome to another edition of the Grab Bag!
Just a quick update on our upcoming 1v1 Tournament, based on feedback and requests we've pushed the date for Archers to the end of the tournament archetype rounds, now scheduled for December 3rd (3PM EST/9PM CET). Every other date is as is. The date for the overall final has also been set for December 10th, 3PM EST/9PM CET. Our tournament page has been updated with all the details, and there's still plenty of time to register for all archetypes :) Sign up here!

After three successful, fun filled 5v5 tournaments, we are please to announce the first DAoC 1v1 tournament! This tournament is all about the players, skill, and of course, the fights!
The 1v1 tournament will be held over the course of 6 Sundays between October and November at 3PM EST/9PM CET on the Pendragon server, covering each class archetype facing off in group stages and progressing from their group to fight for overall 1v1 winner!
• Registration will be done using our 1v1 League Republic site.
• Sign up is quick and easy! Once you have decided which character/class you're participating with, you will need to register that character here using the format: First name = Character name / Last name = Class type i.e. Beibger Ranger (instead of Carol Kenny).
• A video tutorial with a registration walk-through can be found here: https://youtu.be/ojqdMBwJAPo
• It is on you to make sure you’re properly signed up. We may not be able to help you if you realize you did not sign up properly too late. Please contact Beibhinn or BoxyBrown on the postcount forums, or the DAoC Discord if you have signed up incorrectly before the tournament starts.

This year's 5v5 tournament brought so many good fights and fun for everyone involved, including those just watching on our live stream! Pendragon saw 13 teams battle it out to be crowned 2017's 5v5 winner! A great day, with spot on and yet hilarious commentary by Knights Joel and Dansickle, along with Gaven!

A Grab Bag of Broadswords.
For something a little different, one of our players from the Postcount forums, Card, sent some questions to us wanting a spotlight behind the scenes at Broadsword, and the people behind the name :) So here's a special "Card Bag" for you, and our regular Grab Bag will return next time.

Registration for this year's 5v5 Tournament is now closed! The excitement is immense :)
We would ask those participating to please arrive on time and be ready to go (make your guilds beforehand!) around the porter's area in Camelot at 1PM EST (6PM GMT/7PM CET).
In addition to the awesome fights we have to look forward to, we will also be giving away some spot prizes during the event! Shileah will be running contests for patterns and 1 month DAoC Timecodes for those joining the fun in Twitch chat, and our very chatty commentators will be awarding patterns to players for the following categories:

Best Dressed through the use of patterns (free Mithril is available on all characters on Pendragon)
-
Tournament MVP
-
MVP outside of the top 3 teams (finalists, semi-finalists, and 3rd placed teams)
-
Groups Stage MVP (per group category, not team)
-
Most Memorable Play
Please note: Pendragon is down tomorrow for a patch (details here), but will be set as FFA ruleset when it returns, please wait until Pendragon is back online to copy over any toons from live. So get ready to make your guilds, copy your toons, and work your fashion magic for Saturday! #5v5hype
