In patch 1.95, invigoration potions were extended from a 5 minute duration to a 10 minute duration. I see that even my existing potions have been adjusted to a 10 minute duration, but now I cannot recharge these potions even though I am a Legendary Alchemist. Is this intended, or was the recharge ability of the potions inadvertently impacted?

Getting right to the heart of the matter, the Lady of the Jewels explains: Potions were never meant to be rechargeable. This was a characteristic of these items that wasn't intended, so it was corrected in the recent patch. The fix was not related to the increased duration of invigoration potions, which was a separate change.


I can't locate Svall the NPC that the patch notes said is giving out Level 40 armor and weapons. Where are they?

The Lady of the Jewels got out her /map and has some directions for you: Svall is located in the Koparens Marknard area of Jordheim, on the second floor of the building that Leif, the Skald Trainer, and Pirkko, the Savage Trainer are standing in front of.


I have heard rumors that there exists a level 51 Necromancer pet that we get when all Level 50 bubbles have been filled up. I have not seen any though, is this rumor true and how do you get one if it is?

The Equalizer says this is definitely not true: The highest-level Necromancer pet available is received at level 45.


The 1.95 patch was supposed to make travel more convenient, yet it appears you removed some horse routes. I'm not sure how this is more convenient. I tried to get to Western Cornwall from different locations that used to have a horse route to there. The best I could do was travel to Caer Witrin and take a horse to Cornwall Station, then run to West Cornwall. Am I missing something? How do I travel to Western Cornwall?

I asked the Lady of the Jewels who has all the details of these new routes: The stable master at Cornwall Station sells a ticket to Yarley's Farm, which was previously referred to as Western Cornwall. We apologize for the confusion. The new horse routes were designed so that each town allows you to get to the next town over, and some towns offer flight routes which lead to far off areas as well. A complete list of what routes are available now can be found in game by using the /help command and selecting the Routes: Horse, Flight, and Boat option.


I've been working on Spellcrafting recently and noticed I can make +10 skill gems. However, I cannot imbue them on a piece of armor. I assumed they may be used for Legendary Weapons. After checking every source I could find (including my LGM Weaponcrafter), I cannot find any use for these gems. Do they serve a purpose other than making them to level up your Spellcrafting skill?

Just the mention of gems makes me run over to the Lady of the Jewels: Well, I played around with some gems myself and so far as I can tell the perfect cut gems that give skill bonuses of 10 points cannot be crafted into any items currently in the game. They are only there for the purposes of leveling Spellcrafting.


I have a question that is killing me; I have asked a lot of people but most are either not sure or they say it's not important. Does Piety give more damage to the Reaver spell Lifedrain? I also checked the definition of Piety on the Herald but it says nothing whatsoever concerning Reaver spells.

With a quick glance to a never ending chart of numbers, The Equalizer says: Yes, piety does increase the damage (and thusly, the health returned) of the Soulrending lifedrain.


After coming back from a long vacation, I'm still trying to get reacquainted with DaoC and the way things run under the hood. I've asked several places, but can't seem to find a solid answer. So, my question is this: Does the Albion Flex skill work the same way 2-Hand training does? (Or rather; will specing in Slash or Crush along with Flex increase damage average or make any noticeable difference in fumble/miss rate on Flex weapons?)

The Equalizer definitely had a definitive answer for you: No. Flexible Weapons do not gain any benefit from Slash or Crush specialization.


I just recently crafted some dragonsworn armor for my character and noticed that when I put it on (un-spell crafted) the 5th slot effects didn�t appear on my stats screen. Do the items have to be sc'ed before the 5th slot effects affect the character?

I quietly tiptoed over to the Lady of the Jewels to get the answer: Yes, 5th slot bonus crafted items will not affect a player until all four other slots of the item have been filled with imbued gems.


I have a 24 Thidranki Infiltrator with Master Of Stealth 1. I understand that movement caps on stealth are in line with your characters level. What I want to know is: Will I detect another stealther better at 24+5, than I would at 19+5, or does detection cap at character level as well?

In an attempts to hide from me asking this question, The Equalizer states: Your stealth detection does not cap based upon your character's level. Stealth detection is a direct comparison between the composite stealth skill levels of the two players. As such, in your example, you would have a larger detection radius with 24+5 stealth than you would with 19+5 stealth. It should be noted, however, that this difference is still rather small - it's the difference of about one step at the stealth speeds that were listed in the question.


Will the dungeons in Origins be the original ones? (IE: Dodens Gruva etc.)

The Lady of the Jewels explains: At this time, we are not able to include the old RvR Dungeon zones of Hall of the Corrupt, Marfach Caverns, and Dodens Gruva for the Origins ruleset.


In last week's Grab Bag you answered this question:

"Q. I have a question in regards to the NPC Sphinx Mobs that roam around ToA. I have recently been killing these mobs out of curiosity to see if they might drop certain loot. After killing them so many times I have realized I ruined my faction with them and I can't go past them without getting attacked. Is there any possible way to reverse this so they may become neutral to the character I killed them with?

A. The Lady of Jewels searched and searched: As far as I can tell, there is no way to gain faction with these mobs."


Well you can gain faction with the mobs. I don't know on Midgard or Hibernia where you get the quest, but in Albion it is from Tetien outside of the Stygian Delta. I have gotten faction with the sphinx mobs before and did that quest a few times and became neutral again.

Blushing a pretty Dev color, the Lady of the Jewels did some additional checking and agrees: This player is absolutely correct. There is a quest given by Tetien in the Stygian Delta for all three realms called The Guardians of Paleognosis, which will increase your faction with the sphinx guardians of Atlantis. You can only get this quest if you have bad faction with them in fact. Tetien is located just west of Stygia Haven. I'm sorry for the confusion!
