Level 50 characters that haven’t logged in within the past 6 months to 2 years will receive the following, un-tradable rewards:
-
In addition to the rewards mentioned above, a new <Illustrious Merchant> NPC has been added in each throne room that sells updated weapons and jewelry, in exchange for bounty points, that when combined with the King’s Armor will give 101/101 stats, 26/26 resists, and 10/10 TOA bonuses to everything.
- These weapons and jewelry are meant to be very competitive stat-wise with what’s available in the rest of the game but do not have the same quality of /uses or procs as other items.
- Returning characters who don’t have an updated set of gear can quickly focus on earning these items while they work on their customized gear template!
- Existing characters may also find some useful items on this new merchant. Happy hunting!
- In conjunction with this Returning Player Journey, the Knights of the Roundtable program is hard at work with gear templating guides for each class in the game. These will be added to the website in the coming weeks!
Darkness Falls
- All mobs in Darkness Falls have had their difficulty reduced to bring them more in line with normal mob difficulties.
-
The difficulty of the High Lords, Princes, Princess, Gatekeeper Dommel, Chancellor Adremal, and Field Marshal Nebir encounters have been drastically reduced. These encounters should no longer require more than a group to complete.
- These encounters should also respawn faster than before.
- The difficulty of Legion, Beliathan, and Lilith encounters have been slightly increased and still require a battlegroup to complete.
-
All encounters now have a good chance to drop Daemon Blood Seals upon completion, with more dropped the harder the encounter. This will result in a general increase in Blood Seals.
-
As such, the following Darkness Falls quests are no longer repeatable, but will reward their existing Blood Seal amounts on their first completion:
- [Darkness] Conquest by Virtue (defeating the three Princes)
- [Darkness] Lords Bounty (defeating the four High Lords)
- [Darkness] Grand Defeat (defeating Chancellor Adremal)
- The rest of the quests (Legion, Belithan, and Lilith) are still repeatable and still offer the same amount of Blood Seals.
-
As such, the following Darkness Falls quests are no longer repeatable, but will reward their existing Blood Seal amounts on their first completion:
-
All named mobs below Gatekeeper Dommel’s room now have a small chance to drop Daemon Blood Seals. This will result in a general increase in Blood Seals.
- Named mobs include all Earls, Dukes, Marquis, Mutilators, and Inquisitors below Gatekeeper Dommel.
- These mobs will no longer drop Daemon Diamond Seals.
-
The prices on the Blood Seal merchants have been increased as follows:
- Items previously priced at 31 Blood Seals are now 80
- Items previously priced at 30 Blood Seals are now 75
- Weapons previously priced at 24 Blood Seals are now 60
- Items previously priced at 17 Blood Seals are now 45
- Daemon Blood Seals are now tradable.
Otherworlds Campaign
-
The Otherworlds Campaign, from chapters 1 to 9 has been streamlined and adjusted as follows:
-
The main quest line starting with the Prologue will no longer require players to leave the Otherworlds zones until the completion of Chapter 9.
- Side quests remain as they were.
- All encounters have had their difficulties significantly reduced so that they should no longer require more than a group to complete.
- All mobs throughout the Otherworlds have had their difficulty reduced to bring them more, but not completely, in-line with normal mob difficulty found throughout the rest of the game.
- All steps are now battlegroup credit, including the Chapter 1 Kill the Captain quest.
- Area credit has been removed aside from Chapter 10 which remains unchanged.
-
Chapter 1’s quest line no longer turns into Mastery Burray, Zedde, or Hamis after the portal ceremony is completed and instead turns in to Lieutenant Haley, Arin Snowtouch, or Nara Manastrong.
- This is to alleviate issues with players needing to turn in the quest being unable to do so while the ceremony was ongoing.
- Boss encounters should also respawn faster than before.
-
The main quest line starting with the Prologue will no longer require players to leave the Otherworlds zones until the completion of Chapter 9.
- Chapter 10’s boss, Manannan mac Lir, now has a chance to drop Otherworldly quest rewards from all chapters (including chapter 10) when defeated. This encounter’s difficulty remains unchanged.
