Class Balance


Bug Fixes

  • (Pendragon Only) Purge should no longer clear crowd control immunities along with the crowd control effects.
  • Disease spells now correctly debuff strength on targets using draughts of supremacy.
  • The Archer Bola and Patella shots now fire on monsters and pets as well as players.
    • These shots now do a low amount of damage in conjunction with their effects
  • Assassin Tranquilizing Gas and Tranquilizing Miasma (mez poison) procs now apply on their target correctly.
  • Assassin’s Shadowstrike ability now uses the updated Backstab II or Perforate Artery styles (depending on the character’s Critical Strikes specialization).
  • The RUT on Assassin’s Blur ability no longer gets triggered when attempting to teleport to invalid targets or on targets outside of the Z-axis restriction ranges, but within normal spell range.
  • (Pendragon Only) Poisons are, once again, not procced via crossbows or thrown weapons.
    • Battlemaster ML Throw Weapon and Shadowblade Throw Weapon styles will still proc the poisons.
  • The Hunter’s level 20 pet, Hunter’s Protector, now correctly performs its new Critical Strikes styles.
  • The Heretic focus DD’s pulses now correctly account for +range items in the character’s gear and for nearsight debuffs.
  • (Pendragon Only) (Client) Fixed an issue with mouse toggle causing the mouse cursor to become permanently disabled in-game.
    • The functionality for mouselook toggle has changed. When toggled on, and not using the mouse look button, the cursor will stay hidden as it did before. However, now when toggled on, if the mouse look button is used, the toggle will disable automatically allowing for easier targeting.
  • (Client) Fixed an issue with ability icons that were on cooldown from appearing to come off cooldown when swapping weapons.

 

Changes


General

  • Another pass has been made on anytime and positional style damage values. Generally this will result in the listed anytime styles doing slightly less damage than previously with 1.121 and the positional-based styles doing much more.
    • Specific style changes are noted in detail within their respective class sections.
      • If the damage was increased or decreased to a new tier, the notes will say “the damage was increased from Medium to High”, etc.
      • If damage was increased or decreased in behind-the-scenes values but still retained its in-game value of “Low”, “Medium”, “High”, “Very High”, etc. the notes will only say the “the damage was increased/decreased slightly/significantly.”
    • The Battlemaster ML styles have had their damage values adjusted as following:
      • Essence Flames has had its damage decreased slightly
      • Essence Shatter has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Spymaster’s Master Level 3 ability has been changed from a single-target stealth ally ability as follows:
    • Essence Armor – 25% essence resist buff – self-target – 20-minute duration
  • Spymaster’s Master Level 9 ability, Essence Blades, has had its RUT reduced from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.
  • All buff shears have had their impact on earning realm points from sheared targets significantly reduced.
    • This should result in a more even distribution of realm points between a group that does most of the damage to an enemy player and an out-of-group realm ally who shears the same enemy player.
    • Additionally, all buff shear types (dex, con, acuity, etc.) are now worth the same amount of RPs within their given tier (yellow vs. red shears).
  • All self-buff spells used by hunter and druid pets are now unable to be overwritten by players. The buff values have been adjusted to match the values of a 25% Buff Effectiveness buff of the same value.
  • All list-caster, instant-cast stat debuff spells have had their RUT reduced to 7 seconds, down from 10 seconds. Values and durations remain unchanged.
  • Spells with self-targeting restrictions now display a corresponding error message when attempting to use the spell on yourself.
  • Archery shots display a proper error message when trying to perform them without a bow equipped.

Armsman

Polearm Specialization

  • Phalanx (Rear positional) has had its damage increased from Medium to High
  • Defender’s Rage (Anytime) has had its damage decreased from High to Medium
  • Poleaxe (Side positional) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Defender’s Revenge (Rear positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High
  • Defender’s Aegis (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

Two Handed Specialization

  • Obfuscate (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Two Moons (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High
  • Sun and Moon (Rear positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

 

Assassins


  • The RUTs of Envenom poison proc buffs have been reduced from 8s to 7s.
    • This does not include the mez poison which still has a 25s RUT.
  • Blur and Shadowstrike’s Z-axis range restrictions have been adjusted from 400 in-game units down to 275 units when teleporting to locations above the assassin.
    • This means that even if a target is within the 1000 spell range, if they are 275 units above the assassin, the spell cannot be cast.
    • Please note that the bug with the ability’s RUT being reset improperly on failed casts has been fixed.
  • Vanish now cures poison when its duration fades.
    • As such, Vanish durations have been returned to their previous values:
      • Vanish 1 – 3s duration
      • Vanish 2 – 3s duration
      • Vanish 3 – 4s duration

 

Berserker


  • Mobile Stance (Frenzy Stance)
    • Damage dealt penalty increased to -75%, up from -35%.
    • Damage taken penalty has been removed from the stance.

Left Axe Specialization

  • Doubler (Frontal positional) effect has been changed from a bleed to a 16% attack speed debuff and its damage has been increased slightly
  • Doublefrost (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Snowsquall (Rear positional) has had its damage decreased from Very High to High
  • Icy Brilliance (Rear positional followup) has had its damage increased significantly
  • Aurora Borealis (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased slightly

Sword Specialization

  • Aurora (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Polar Rift (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Ragnarok (Rear positional) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

Hammer Specialization

  • Demolish (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased from Medium to High
  • Comminute (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly

Nature specialization

  • Level 42 – Call Nature Sage – The pet now buffs itself with a +93 value Str/Con self-buff when summoned.

 

Friar

Staff specialization

  • Level 34 – Holy Staff – The group heal over time effect has returned.
  • Level 42 – Dancing Staff – Follows Holy Staff – Very High endurance cost, High damage, Low Hit Bonus, No Defense bonus – Increases movement speed of group members within 1000 range of the Friar by 15% for 4 seconds. This speed bonus persists through combat and speedwarps.

 

Heretic

Rejuvenation specialization

  • The single target matter direct damage nuke has had its values increased as follows:
    • Level 17 – Dark Obsidian – 67 damage.
    • Level 24 – Dark Slag – 89 damage.
    • Level 35 – Dark Basalt – 146 damage.
    • Level 45 – Dark Magma – 184 damage.

Enhancement specialization

  • The single target stat debuffs have changed as follows:
    • The range has been increased to 1750, up from 1500.
    • The cast time has been decreased to 2.8 sec, down from 3.0 sec.

 

Hero

Large Weaponry Specialization

  • Domination (Side positional) has had its damage increased from Low to High
  • Demolish (Anytime) has had its damage decreased from High to Medium
  • Shatter (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High
  • Annihilation (Rear positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

 Celtic Spear Specialization

  • Hunter’s Lance (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased from Medium to High
  • Eagle Talon (Anytime) has had its damage decreased from High to Medium
  • Dragon Talon (Side positional) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Cuchulain’s Revenge (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

 

Hunter

Beastcraft specialization

  • The RUT on the summonable pet has changed as follows:
    • Level 32 – Hunter’s Avatar – 1 minute and 45 seconds RUT.
    • Level 40 – Hunter’s Elder Protector – 90 second RUT.
    • Level 50 – Hunter’s Elder Avatar – 60 second RUT.
    • All lower pets remain at a 2 minute RUT.

Sword Specialization

  • Aurora (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Polar Rift (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Ragnarok (Rear positional) has had its damage increased significantly

 

Infiltrator

Critical Strikes Specialization

  • Hamstring (Evade reactionary) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Garrote (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly

  • The Shaman’s RR5 realm ability, Restorative Mend, has had its values changed as follows:
    • Health, End, and Power heal value changed from 5% to 15% per tick, duration reduced from 45s to 20s, and now ticks every 2s instead of 3s.

Augmentation specialization

  • The new melee damage buff has had its power increased to 15%, up from 10%.
  • The new heal effectiveness buffs have had their durations increased to 45 seconds and RUT decreased to 15 seconds.
  • The new piety buffs have had their durations increased to 20 seconds, up from 10 seconds.
  • A new single target heal over time has been added at the following levels and values:
    • Level 8 – Regenerative Stupor – Instant cast – 1500 range – 10 sec duration – 5% power – Heals the target for 12 HP every second.
    • Level 18 – Regenerative Dream – Instant cast – 1500 range – 10 sec duration – 10% power – Heals the target for 25 HP every second.
    • Level 28 – Regenerative Muse – Instant cast – 1500 range – 10 sec duration – 20% power – Heals the target for 50 HP every second.
    • Level 38 – Regenerative Trance – Instant cast – 1500 range – 10 sec duration – 30% power – Heals the target for 100 HP every second.
    • Level 48 – Regenerative Rapture – Instant cast – 1500 range – 10 sec duration – 40% power – Heals the target for 150 HP every second.

Cave Magic baseline

  • The low level disease and AOE disease spells are now overwritten by higher versions.

Cave Magic specialization

  • The damage shield has moved to base Cave Magic. No longer a concentration buff - it now has a duration of 10 minutes.
  • The matter direct damage spell has been consolidated and readjusted to the following levels and values:
    • Level 1 – Fungal Mud – 5 increased to 17 damage
    • Level 11 – Fungal Slush – 41 increased to 57 damage
    • Level 21 – Fungal Ooze - 73 increased to 92 damage
    • Level 31 – Fungal Ichor – 108 increased to 128 damage
    • Level 41 – Fungal Mucus – 148 increased to 179 damage
  • The bolt spell has been consolidated and readjusted to the following levels and values:
    • Level 1 – Fungal Pin – 8 increased to 26 damage
    • Level 11 – Fungal Bramble – 64 increased to 103 damage
    • Level 21 – Fungal Thorn – 145 increased to 170 damage
    • Level 31 – Fungal Barb – 169 increased to 211 damage
    • Level 41 – Fungal Spine – 232 increased to 265 damage
  • A new melee damage dealt decrease has been added at the following levels and values:
    • Level 21 – Crumble Arms – 2.8 sec cast – 1000 range – 30 sec duration – 45 sec RUT –10% power – Lowers the target’s melee damage dealt by 20%.
    • Level 41 – Deteriorate Arms – 2.8 sec cast – 1000 range – 30 sec duration – 45 sec RUT – 20% power – Lowers the target’s melee damage dealt by 40%.
  • A new magic damage dealt decrease has been added at the following levels and values:
    • Level 24 – Suppress Magic – 2.8 sec cast – 1000 range – 30 sec duration – 45 sec RUT – 15% power – Lowers the target’s magic damage dealt by 25%.
    • Level 44 – Halt Magic – 2.8 sec cast – 1000 range – 30 sec duration – 30% power – 45 sec RUT – Lowers the target’s magic damage dealt by 50%.
  • A new PBAoE endurance drain has been added at the following levels and values:
    • Level 30 – Exhaustive Blast – Instant – 750 radius – 15 sec RUT – 102 power – Damages the target’s endurance by 35.

 

Skald

Sword Specialization

  • Aurora (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Polar Rift (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Ragnarok (Rear positional) has had its damage increased significantly

Hammer Specialization

  • Demolish (Side positional followup) has had its damage increased from Medium to High
  • Comminute (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Conquer (Rear positional) has had its damage increased from Medium to High
  • Sledgehammer (Rear positional followup) has had its damage increased from High to Very High

 Axe Specialization

Stormcalling specialization

  • Swirling Thunder no longer shares a RUT with other spells.

 

Vampiir

Vampiiric Embrace specialization

  • The self-haste buffs no longer share a RUT with the self-parry buffs in the Shadow Mastery specialization. It now shares a RUT with the self-Weaponskill and self-Evasion buffs.
  • The Summon Night’s Servant ability now has a 300 power cost instead of a 70% base-power cost.
    • At CL0 the power cost works out to around ~80% of total power
    • At CL15 the power cost works out to around ~60% of total power

 

Warden


  • The following new styles have been added at higher Blades and Blunt specializations to enhance Warden melee DPS.

 

Blades specialization

  • Level 32 – Stone Shaper – Anytime – Very High endurance cost, Medium Damage, Low Hit Bonus, Medium Defense Penalty – -50 ABS debuff for 25 seconds.
  • Level 40 – Stone Temper – Follows Stone Shaper – Very High endurance cost, Very Low damage, No Hit Bonus, Low Defense Penalty – Removes any ABS debuff on the target and increases your Blades’ Weaponskill by 25% for 25 seconds.
  • Level 40 – Stone Breaker – Follows Stone Shaper – Very High endurance cost, Very High damage, High Hit Bonus, Very High Defense Penalty – Removes any ABS debuff on the target and removes any Weaponskill buff from yourself.

Blunt specialization

  • Level 23 – Forest Protector – Anytime – Very High endurance cost, Medium Damage, Low Hit Bonus, Low Defensive Bonus – Increases all healing done by you by 50% for 25 seconds.
  • Level 32 – Forest Executioner – Follows Forest Protector – Very High endurance cost, Devastating Damage, Low Hit Penalty, Low Defensive Bonus – Reduces all healing done by the target by 50% for 25 seconds.

 

Warlock


  • The new damage over time spells now display a proper error message when attempting to use the DoTs in an incorrect order.

 

Warrior


  • Warrior’s AoE grapple ability no longer affects all friendly realm-mates and pets, but only up to 4 group members within a 400 radius, along with the warrior.
    • This protection can be shift+right-click removed by groupmates who don’t want it.
    • Grappled group-mates are now only immune to melee damage and cannot melee. They can cast freely and can be hit by spells.

 

Sword Specialization

  • Aurora (Frontal positional followup) has had its damage increased slightly
  • Polar Rift (Anytime) has had its damage decreased slightly
  • Ragnarok (Rear positional) has had its damage increased significantly

 Hammer Specialization
